Quality & compliance
Lingerie fails on five details. We inspect all five.
Quality control for intimates means testing the parts that break in wear: wire poke, elastic recovery, seam slippage, lace alignment and colour migration after washing. Every order passes four documented gates, and the paperwork travels with the shipment so your compliance team has evidence rather than assurances.
Four gates
Where inspection happens, and what is recorded
Gate 1 · before cutting
Material intake
Fabric and trim checked against the approved strike-off: shade under D65 light, GSM, stretch and recovery, elastic memory, lace motif width, wire gauge and hook strength. Off-spec rolls are quarantined, not used "carefully".
Gate 2 · during sewing
In-line checkpoints
Cup moulding symmetry, wire channel closure, seam tension, lace alignment at centre front, elastic flatness. Audited through the run at 20% of output so a drifting line is caught on day two, not on day twenty.
Gate 3 · before packing
Finished-garment test
Wire poke (30 flex cycles), seam slippage, pad shift after three wash cycles, band roll on wear test, measurement audit across the size run against the signed spec sheet.
Gate 4 · before shipment
AQL 2.5 pre-shipment review
Carton-by-carton sampling at AQL 2.5 major / 4.0 minor with a written report and photographs; label, care content, size ratio and barcode verified against the packing list.
Documents that travel with your order: material intake record, in-line checkpoint log, finished-garment test sheet, AQL final inspection report with photos, packing list with size ratio, and the signed PP sample record. Buyers who want AQL 1.5 can specify it on the purchase order.
Defect taxonomy
What we count as a critical, major or minor defect
Written into the inspection sheet so "good enough" is not decided by whoever is tired at the end of the shift.
| Defect | Class | How it is tested | Acceptance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wire poking through fabric | Critical | 30 flex cycles at channel end | Zero tolerance |
| Safety / sharp needle fragment | Critical | Metal detector pass on every carton | Zero tolerance |
| Wrong care or fibre content label | Critical | Artwork match against signed PP sample | Zero tolerance |
| Cup asymmetry > 3 mm | Major | Flat-table measurement, both cups | 0 in AQL sample |
| Seam slippage / skipped stitch | Major | Tensile check + visual under lamp | ≤ 2.5% of sample |
| Band roll or twisted side seam | Major | Wear test 30 min on graded size | ≤ 2.5% of sample |
| Shade variation between panels | Major | Grey-scale comparison under D65 | Grade 4 minimum |
| Loose thread ends, minor creasing | Minor | Visual at packing station | ≤ 4.0% of sample |
| Carton size determines sample count; the full table is shared with your inspection agent before the run starts. | |||
Testing & compliance
Third-party testing, arranged honestly
We do not publish certificate numbers on this website. What we can do is arrange testing to the scope your market requires, hand you the lab report, and keep the test records with your order file.
- Chemical safety: azo dyes, formaldehyde, pH value, extractable metals, nickel release on hooks and underwire.
- Performance: colour fastness to wash, rub, perspiration and light; pilling; dimensional change after laundering.
- Labelling: fibre content and care labelling for US (FTC / care symbols), EU (Reg. 1007/2011 textiles) and AU/NZ requirements.
- Logistics: metal detection, carton drop test, and documentation for your forwarder.
How to use this page in due diligence: send us your retailer or marketplace compliance sheet and we will tell you which tests we run in-house, which go to an accredited lab, and what each adds to cost and lead time.
Buyer due-diligence pack
On request, before the first order:
- Factory profile, capacity and line layout
- Sample inspection report (redacted)
- Spec-sheet and size-set templates
- Reference call with an existing buyer (with their permission)
Quality FAQ
What compliance teams ask us
What inspection standard do you ship against?
AQL 2.5 major / 4.0 minor on finished cartons, with a written report and photographs. Buyers who require AQL 1.5 can specify it on the purchase order; the sampling count and lead time are adjusted accordingly.
Can you arrange third-party lab testing?
Yes — fabric and trim can be submitted to an accredited laboratory for azo, formaldehyde, pH, colour fastness and nickel-release testing. Scope is agreed before bulk fabric is ordered and the report is issued to you. We do not claim certificates we do not hold.
Do you accept our own inspection agent?
Yes. Your agent or a third-party inspection firm is welcome on the line and in the packing room; we ask for 48 hours notice so the right order is staged. See the defect classification we hand them.

Audit us before you order
Ask for the inspection checklist and a redacted sample report. If the paperwork does not satisfy your team, you have not wasted a sample fee.
